Our Pre-K Teachers
Amy Lynch

Amy and her husband of one year, Page, live in Mufreesboro, TN. She graduated from MTSU with a degree in Elementary Education and is certified to teach kindergarten through sixth grade. In her spare time she enjoys scrapbooking and being outdoors with her husband. Amy is excited about the summer curriculum and her father will be coming in to teach the children about fossils.

Kari is from Murfreesboro, TN where she lives with her husband of one year, Joe. She is currently a senior at MTSU pursuing a degree in Child Development and Family Studies. In her spare time, Kari enjoys scrapbooking, spending time outdoors, camping, and traveling with her husband. Kari is most excited about camping week this summer where she and her children will take a ‘camping trip’ inside the classroom!

Debbie Guynn

Debbie was raised in Amarillo, TX and moved to Tennessee in 1993. She and her husband Mark have been married for 18 years and have 2 children; Cody, age 18 and Courtnee, age 15. She has been teaching Pre-school for 14 years, 12 years here at Lancaster. Debbie’s hobbies include photography, shopping, camping, traveling, spending time with her family, and watching her children perform in their extracurricular activities. Also, she apologizes to the Vol fans but she’s a huge Texas Longhorn fan!
Debbies Favorite things: Tropical scents (coconut), VS body spray, spa treatments, manicures and pedicures, and she collects crosses. Jamie Legg

Jamie is from Murfreesboro, TN; she and her husband of one year are members of New Vision Baptist Church. She graduated in May of 2009 from MTSU with a degree in Child Development and Family Studies and a minor in Psychology. Jamie enjoys reading, scrapbooking, and cooking in her spare time. The thing she loves most about teaching is working individually with the children as they continue to grow and learn. One of Ms. Legg’s favorite projects was during Bug Week when her class grew a grass seed caterpillar and the children got to water it and cut it’s “hair” on a daily basis. Her class will be working on a variety of projects over the year including science, art, and cooking.

Jennifer Lane

Jennifer has been a part of our preschool program for 2 years. She and her husband have two children, William, age 5 and Madeline, age 4 who also attends preschool here at LCA. As a family, they enjoy hiking, swimming, camping, and road trips to visit the grandparents. Ms. Lane holds a Tennessee Teacher’s License in the area of Pre-K and Elementary Education and has over three years of classroom teaching experience. She is a hands-on teacher who works to tailor her teaching style to her individual children’s learning styles. One of her favorite projects is when her class gets to tie-dye their own t-shirt, the students are always amazed and surprised when they see the results.
